• Mr. Nageswara Rao is a distinguished banking and financial services leader with over three decades of senior leadership experience across India’s public sector banking and financial ecosystem. He began his career with Vijaya Bank in 1991 and progressed through key leadership roles across branches and regions, earning a strong reputation for operational excellence, institutional governance, and strategic execution. During this period, he was also nominated as a Director on the Board of Vishweshwariah Grameena Bank.

• He served as General Manager of Vijaya Bank (2010–2016) and later held the position of Executive Director at Vijaya Bank, Syndicate Bank, and Bank of Maharashtra, where he played a pivotal role in navigating regulatory complexity, large-scale operations, and transformational change, including major banking mergers.

• In recognition of his exceptional administrative capability and deep domain expertise, the Reserve Bank of India appointed him as Administrator of Reliance Capital Limited under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. He successfully led the resolution of Reliance Capital and its nine diversified subsidiaries spanning insurance, NBFC, asset reconstruction, and investment businesses- one of the most complex and high-profile financial resolutions in India.

• Currently, Mr. Rao serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of leading banking, capital market, fintech, and financial inclusion institutions, contributing strategic oversight, regulatory insight, and robust governance leadership.
