Maximus, believes that through CSR activities, the company be socially accountable to itself, Shareholders, its stakeholders and the public at large.
In order to assimilate the philosophy of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) among companies, Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 (‘the Act’) mandated every company with a net worth of over Rs. 500 crore, or a turnover of more than Rs. 1,000 crore or net profit of over Rs. 5 crore to spend at least 2% of its average net profits made during the three immediately preceding financial years, on CSR activities as enumerated in Schedule VII to the Act; every financial year. The motto of the Company is to improve the lives of the undeserved for the better tomorrow. Based on the motto, the Committee Members of the company opines that Health, Education and disaster relief are the areas where this contemporary society required. As per the approval of the Board of Directors of the Company, from time to time, the applicable funds were contributed to Health, Education and disaster relief.
